IPL Innings Break and Final Result Are Different
An innings break means one innings has ended and the match may continue. A final result states the completed outcome, so use the status line with the score.
Recognise the transition to a chase
After a normal first innings, the other side begins a chase against the target. The first team’s total is important context but is not itself the match result. Look for the target and the next batting side.

Read the finish from the result text
When the match ends, read the official outcome and scorecard. A team appearing ahead in a live display is not enough to establish the final result, particularly when play is interrupted or conditions are revised.
Check which match the tab describes
A saved tab can show a previous meeting between the same teams. Confirm competition, date and status before using the result. For current IPL information, return to the present competition listing instead of assuming an old score is live.
A useful next step
Use the IPL page for the complete match-reading sequence, and the current competition source for the specific outcome.
